Upon the frozen northern frontier stand the Iron Kingdoms of Vargarde, where towering fortresses watch over windswept valleys. To Vargarde, civilization is humanity's greatest achievement — roads, laws and castles that no winter raises on its own, and that every generation must defend or lose.
The return of the lost Kharadum Codex has deeply unsettled the High Council. They do not seek it to rule the world, but because they cannot allow another civilization to wield a power capable of destroying everything countless generations have sacrificed to build.
Human armies win not through overwhelming force but through discipline that refuses to break: patient shield walls, veteran commanders, knights holding the line, and banners that turn ordinary soldiers into heroes.
