High above the clouds float the marble Sky Citadels of Asteris, where scholars, mages, astronomers and rune masters pursue a single purpose: understanding. They believe ignorance has destroyed more civilizations than war ever could — magic is never worshipped, only observed, measured, questioned and mastered.
No civilization has shown greater interest in the Kharadum Codex. Ancient records within Asteris speak of it not merely as a source of power but as the greatest collection of magical knowledge ever assembled — and the Archmages believe misunderstanding it would be far more dangerous than leaving it lost. They seek to recover it before curiosity, ambition or ignorance can unleash consequences no one could control.
On the battlefield their philosophy takes form: stone golems that never flinch, battle-mages who reshape the field with calculated precision, and ancient guardians — couatls, sphinxes, lammasu and titans — that wake only when every other answer has failed.
